Sanofi has purchased a platform from Berkeley Lights, an Emeryville, California-headquartered company developing platforms for biopharmaceutical processes, to accelerate its cell-line development process.

Based on data from a pilot study, the Beacon platform identifies target secreting clones. The four integrated workflows of Berkeley Lights’ Beacon platform (import, culture, assay, and export) can be applied for cell-line development, antibody discovery and engineering, gene editing, and research.
