Connell Brothers (CBC), a division of Wilbur-Ellis Company and a marketer and distributor of specialty chemicals and ingredients in Asia-Pacific, has been appointed by FMC Corporation to distribute its pharmaceutical and pharmaceutical excipient-based nutraceuticals product line in Japan. This is the two companies' first distribution agreement in the pharmaceuticals market.  Connell Brothers currently represents FMC in the nutrition market segments in Southeast Asia. 

The products include: Avicel® microcrystalline cellulose, a pharmaceutical binder; Ac-Di-Sol®, a croscarmellose sodium developed to enhance rapid disintegration in tablets; Alubra®, a specialized lubricant that improves API dissolution; and Aquacoat®, pseudo-latex technology that enables aqueous presentation of water-insoluble polymers.
