CordenPharma, a contract development and manufacturing organization headquartered in Plankstadt, Germany, has completed a new active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) process bay, now installed at its site in Boulder, Colorado, which represents a recent investment to strengthen development and manufacturing capabilities for API offerings across its highly potent and oncology platform. The new API process bay is designed to handle a wide range of chemistries and unit operations with flexible and scalable components up to multi-kilogram batches.

This new investment follows the completion in early 2016 of a new cancer target discoveryand development facility to handle the manufacture of oral solid dosage drug product of highly potent and oncology compounds in its Plankstadt facility and a further expansion of sterile-handling capabilities for oncology drug products at the company’s Latina, Italy site.
