Colorcon, an excipient manufacturer, has launched Opadry SGR, its sugar film-coating system, designed to provide a more streamlined application process, reduce coating time, and improve manufacturing safety through the elimination of organic solvents.

Colorcon says Opadry SGR is expected to offer pharmaceutical manufacturers a faster and more reproducible method using standard spray-coating equipment.
