Alcami Expands Fill–Finish Mfg Capacity with New Line
Alcami, a CDMO of drug products and analytical testing services, has announced an expansion of its sterile fill–finish manufacturing capacity with the addition of a new sterile fill–-finish line with an isolator and two lyophilizers at its existing campus in Charleston, South Carolina.
Separately, Alcami has expanded its pharma storage services with the acquisition of Pacific Pharmaceutical Services, a GMP-certified warehousing provider for pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
Additionally, Alcami announced the opening of its new 65,000-square-foot pharma storage and services operations facility in Garner, North Carolina.
The new North Carolina facility, now accepting client pallets for ambient/controlled room temperature storage, adds to the company’s network of GMP storage facilities across North America. The site will phase in stability storage and aliquoting, followed by cold storage later this year (2024-

Corealis Completes Expansion of Laboratory Facilities
Corealis Pharma, a Laval, Quebec, Canada-based CDMO of oral solid dose formulation development and clinical trial supply materials, reports that the construction of its laboratory facilities is completed and is on track to be operational by the end of the second quarter of 2024.
With this first stage of expansion, Corealis will add 15,000 square feet of formulation development laboratory space and will add analytical chemistry equipment and sample preparation and method development space. The expansion will more than double the company’s laboratory space.

Curia Expanding Pre-Filled Syringe Mfg Capacity
Curia is expanding prefilled syringe (PFS) manufacturing capacity in its New Mexico facility.
In addition, Curia has invested in a Bausch & Ströbel Variosys flexline with a SKAN isolator bringing on additional capacity for both vial and/or PFS/cartridge manufacturing. The new manufacturing line will be qualified in the fourth quarter 2024.

Delpharm Acquires Solid Dosage Mfg Facility from Astellas
Delpharm, a Paris-based CDMO of drug products, has acquired a 31,600-square-meter drug-product manufacturing facility from Astellas in Meppel, the Netherlands. The site employs 410 qualified personnel and produces solid dosage forms, such as tablets, capsules, and pellets. The site produces more than 40 million finished products packaged annually.

Grand River Completes Finishing & Warehouse Expansion
Grand River Aseptic Manufacturing, a CDMO of sterile injectables, has completed the expansion of its finishing and warehouse center. The expansion added 90,000 square feet to the existing 110,000 square feet of inspection, packaging, testing, and warehouse capabilities.
Grand River Aseptic Manufacturing’s finishing and warehouse center comes in addition to its recently expanded filling facility, which includes four Bausch + Ströbel filling lines with SKAN isolator technology to manufacture clinical and commercial scale liquid vials, lyophilized vials, syringes, and cartridges.
