WuXi AppTec, a Shanghai, China-headquartered contract service provider, has opened an expanded laboratory testing division (LTD) facility in New Jersey. The new facility is expected to enhance WuXi’s integrated testing service portfolio.

The expansion will double total operation space to more than 115,000 square feet and will create over 200 jobs.

The new site will establish a center of excellence for drug development and provide services to the US pharmaceutical and biotech industries.

In addition to the New Jersey site, WuXi also has US facilities in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; St. Paul, Minnesota; Atlanta, Georgia; San Diego, California; and Boston, Massachusetts. WuXi’s global presence includes China, Germany, Israel, South Korea, and Japan.
