Virtual DCAT Week to be Held July 12–16, 2021

The Board of Directors of the Drug, Chemical & Associated Technologies Association (DCAT) has decided to postpone the in-person portion of DCAT Week until March of 2022. A virtual version of DCAT Week 2021 will be offered from July 12-16th and will include the DCAT Member Announcement Forum, Pharma Industry Outlook program, executive insights on manufacturing, drug development, and supply-chain management, as well as a keynote address by Dr. Jennifer Doudna, a biochemist known for her pioneering work in CRISPR gene editing for which she was awarded the 2020 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

“Despite the quick development of effective vaccines by our industry (including some of our member companies), there are still a number of variables outside of our control that could put our community at risk, adversely influence the attendee experience and detract from the overall success of a large, in-person meeting in New York City,” said DCAT President Sean Diver in an association statement. “For those reasons, we are again postponing the in-person portion of DCAT Week until March of 2022.”

Program and registration information for the virtual version of DCAT Week 2021 will be available on or about April 15th.
