UK-based Onyx Scientific is expanding its GMP space to increase capacity for its small-scale active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturing services. The move will see the installation of a new Class 100,000 suite at its facility in northeast England to meet demand forPhase I/II GMP campaigns from clients in Europe and the US.

Onyx Scientific specializes in pre-clinical/clinical development projects .and expansion plans were given the go ahead following another successful audit by the MHRA in February 2015.

This latest investment follows an investment in continuous flow manufacturing last year. The UK site scales up and performs technology transfer for the its parent company's large scale API manufacturing sites in India.
